EPOG + (Economic POlicies for the Global transition) – Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree
The Economic POlicies for the Global transition (EPOG+) is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in economics, supported by the European Union. It offers a world-class integrated Master’s programme on the (digital, socioeconomic, ecological) transition processes with a pluralist approach and interdisciplinary perspectives. It involves more than 40 partners and associate partners in Europe and the world.

EPOG 2 (Economic POlicies in the age of Globalisation)– International Master’s course
The core design of the EPOG 2.0 Master relies on the development of an expertise in a specific field and a general understanding of interdependencies among economic policies with a precise, consistent and continuous course progression: semester 1 and 2 for the basics of the specialization (in Paris and Rome), semester 3 for advanced courses and for providing a common culture to all the students, semester 4 for enhancing and applying learning outcomes in the context of a research lab or of a “professional environment”. In order to provide students with knowledge and skills in specific fields of expertise, students will have to choose one of two options and then opt for a major within either. Mobility derives from this dual choice.
In support of our trans-national mission the program draws from the collaboration and complementarities of nine prestigious universities, all of which offer excellent, internationally recognized, and well-established Master’s programs in Economics:

- Berlin School of Economics and Law (Germany)
- Kingston University (United Kingdom)

- Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
- University of Massachusetts – Amherst (USA)
Within the integrated framework each university will provide complementary and interdisciplinary expertise in economic policy.
Students will have to choose among three options which will partly determine the mobility between the institutions:
Option A – Knowledge and innovation policies
Option B – International macroeconomics and financial policies
Option C – Development policies
The main instruction languages will be English and French. However, students who want to study only in English will have this possibility.
All the students will be awarded a multiple Master’s degree from the Universities of Paris 13 and Paris 7 and from the institution visited in the 1st year.
To be enrolled, students must have obtained a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in economics or in political science or law (with sufficient background knowledge in economics and statistics).

The Master’s Degree in “Economia dell’Ambiente, Lavoro e Sviluppo Sostenibile,” with a curriculum in “Link identifier #identifier__148365-4Global Development,” offers an integrated study program in English, culminating in a dual degree—both Italian and international—thanks to an agreement with the French Link identifier #identifier__81346-5university Gustave Eiffel. Students opting for the “Global Development – double degree” pathway must pass a selection process based on their motivation, academic record, and adequate proficiency in English (B2 level). Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Economics is a preferred requirement. The dual degree program requires selected students to attend the first year of the course at the University of Roma Tre. At the beginning of the second year (first semester), they will attend specific courses at Gustave Eiffel University as part of the Master’s program in “Development Economics and International Project Management,” which addresses similar and complementary topics. Students will spend six months in France (from early September to late February) and can benefit from a scholarship. After completing the relevant exams, they will return to Italy to finish their second-year courses and write their thesis. The thesis will focus on topics related to the shared study program and will be jointly supervised and discussed by both universities. Upon defending their thesis, students will receive a Master’s Degree in “Economia dell’Ambiente, Lavoro e Sviluppo Sostenibile” from the University of Roma Tre and a Master’s Degree in “Development Economics and International Project Management” from Université Gustave Eiffel. The maximum number of students from the University of Roma Tre who can enroll in the dual degree program is five per academic year.
