The course provides an in-depth exploration of socio-ecological accounting metrics and modelling techniques. It covers the theory, methodologies, and practical applications of integrated environmental and economic models, inequality analysis, sustainable transition frameworks, and distributive impacts assessment. Students will gain hands-on experience with various tools for analysing socio-ecological systems and understanding their implications for economic, environmental, and social sustainability and equity.

Programma

• Integrated approach between economics and environment
• Economic models for the analysis of the interactions between economic, social, and environmental systems (e.g., ex-post and ex-ante evaluation, IAM, environmentally extended multi-regional input-output modelling)
• Evaluation of the distributive impacts of climate change and sustainable transition.

Modalità Valutazione

The expected learning outcomes will be assessed by means of a final oral test involving the presentation of an individual assignment. The assessment criteria are: the level of mastery of knowledge, the degree of articulation and in-depth analysis, the degree of adequacy and accuracy of the explanation, and the ability to synthesise.
